Which form of English should we use here?

I know that most of the users use American English, so should we all use it? It makes me uncomfortable because I use British English but we may want to add a preference to the rules. I couldn't find any rules on it, to be honest. In fact, I can't find any rules at all. Am I just overlooking them, or aren't there any?

I just asked because 'demeanour' was changed to 'demeanor' on one of my recent edits. However, 'fringe' was not changed to 'bangs', which is an Americanism that I only thought of after I added it. I am now rather confused.

What does everyone think?

Well, Kill la Kill was licensed by Aniplex in the US, and by Anime Limited in the UK. The first volume was released on July 15, 2014 for America, and November 17, 2014 in the UK. This could indicate that the series was taken more seriously by the American anime industry than the UK anime industry. It also leads me to think that KLK is ever so slightly leaning towards America rather than UK. Also, the main headquarters of Wikia is in the US, so I think American English is slightly more appropriate.

Well, I was actually going to ask if anyone had a preference. I don't expect the whole wiki to use British English, because Britain has nothing to do with Kill la Kill. I just was going to ask if we should set a preference for it. Some wikis don't have a preference but most do, and that's why I asked.

Thanks for replying, also. :)
