The vocals are sung by Mika Kobayashi and features David Whitaker for the rap portion in the original song. ''Before my body is dry'' comes in several versions: the original, a [nZk] version with instrumental only, and a karaoke version. Its also occasionally heard as a theme on several other songs like ''KiLLLakiLL'' and ''Gekiban Tokka-gata Hitotsuboshi Gokuseifuku''.

''Before my body is dry'' is usually played in the presence of [[Ryūko Matoi]] wearing [[Senketsu]]. The song refers to Ryūko's first meeting with Senketsu, how they need to work together to fight, and how they need to finish up her battle before Senketsu consumes all of her blood.
