The Tri-City Schools Raid Trip is a Honnōji Academy event established by Satsuki Kiryūin; the purpose of which was to attack the remaining schools in the Kansai region that were still not under the control of Honnōji Academy and also to flush out the anti-clothing guerrillas, Nudist Beach.

History[]

With all of Japan's schools under the control of Honnōji Academy except for the ones in the Kansai region, Satsuki decided to raid the schools in Ōsaka, Kyoto, and Kōbe, issuing students with new Goku Uniforms created based on the data from Ryūko Matoi's battles. Following Nui Harime's ambush on Ryūko Matoi which led to Senketsu getting torn up, Satsuki collects the scraps so that they may be distributed to suitable hosts in order to provide combat data during the raid trips.

Satsuki begins the raids on the Tri-City Schools in Episode 14:

  • Hōka Inumuta and Shirō Iori did not take part in the battle and had created upgraded Goku uniforms for the rest of the Elite Four. Although a holographic projection of Hōka did assist Nonon in fighting the Guardian Students at Kyoto.

During the conflict, Mako Mankanshoku started going around Ōsaka collecting souvenirs to bring home to her family.

Upon recuperating, Ryūko and one of Senketsu's pieces caught up to each of the armies where she reclaims each fragment and reassembles Senketsu while reclaiming the Seki Tekkō from Satsuki during their duel. Ryūko and Satsuki's duel ended in a draw as Satsuki escapes. A good portion of the Nudist Beach hideout is destroyed by Nonon, while Ōsaka suffers heavy devastation as a result of the battle. The resulting event led up to The Great Culture and Sport Festival.
